How to Stop Failing Before You Start

Frequently I will encounter people that are failing before they start. What does that mean?

It comes in the form of skepticism, disbelief and/or general half effort. Like saying, “I don’t really think that this is going to work, but I’ll try it just to see if it does”. Anything that begins this way is destined to flop and when it does, the person will easily self justify because they didn’t think it was going to work in the first place.

I call it a bad attitude and basically it comes down to mindset.

Do you operate on determination and faith? It’s important that you do, because this is vital to your success.

Determination gives you the willpower to continue and push through with what you’ve started and find the way to make it work rather than quitting at the first sign of a roadblock. Faith assures you that what you are doing is going to work and that it is worth the effort.

Next time you start something ask yourself, “Am I going to do what it takes to see this through and is my target result worth the effort?” If not, then don’t even start, but once you’ve answered yes, then go and DO!

Be Great!

Very well said Matt, you hit the nail on the head, the internet would be over flowing with successful people if more would go into a opportunity with the attitude they’re going to make it work and be a success, than, this isn’t going to work, and not even give it a chance and move on to another opportunity.

      Yes Tim,

The internet IS overflowing with successful people, there are just so many others that have yet to make the leap!

Now I believe that a winner never quits and a quitter never wins. I have been involved in online marketing for 14 years and have yet to see real success. I have experienced a few glimmers of success but not to my satisfaction. Information overload is one of the reason many of us give up, because we are simply overwhelmed and confused.

      Ashley,

Information overload can be grueling which is all the more reason to stick with what you start. There will be increasing distractions which will promise to be easier and faster ways to success (and they very well may be), but jumping to the next thing is exactly what keeps most from true achievement.
